As the previous Happy Page stretched to 15 pages of postings, it seemed rather long and had 300 postings, so I've locked it out. However, here's a new topic to post to.

As a reminder, the Happy Page was set up to post positive things about Angmering and ourselves rather than the more negative things that myself and others moan about from time to time!!!

Today the temperature is set to rise to a magnificent 19 deg C. Now what could be more positive than that on this beautiful sunny morning.

I am so happy about the lovely weather over the Easter holiday's!
All three of my kids have had a whale of a time, out in the sunshine!
We have been to the beach and made use of a variety of parks and green spaces in and around the village.
Hooray for great weather and how lucky we have been!

The upstairs lighting circuit fused during the night and I tried everything to reset the fuse. In desperation I calkled the electrical shop in the parade by Angmering Station. They are called Margin Services.

First the electrician called me back and tried to help me solve the problem so that it would not cost me, then, when that failed turned up when he said he would and fixed it at the price he quoted.

I'm so HAPPY to have had First Class Service.

I agree with you macca - it was brilliant. A very well done to Val who made it all possible. I don't think people realise how much personal effort she put in with the organising and advertising. Not sure where she gets all the energy from!

Love him or hate him, I'm happy that Mr Angry has contributed so much to these forums since the outset, stimulating debate, and is the first person to reach 1000 posts here.

Thanks Neil!

Haven't been too active this year though - a resolution I'm keeping quite well - less time on the interweb - seen a drop off in other old regulars too - Oliver (Jodie) and that silly old bat ...... if only I could remember her name - ah well. Good 'ole VOR too.

ERRRRR I'm still about just!

I have been very busy of late a lot of visits overseas but I always try and log on a couple of times per week.

Can't seem to get inspired much to post on some of the newer topics as debate has been very poor. You or I will have to come up with a good subject but please not the bloody roads again.

So how you doing my old nemesis?

Still in hiding around the village in your plastic mac and glasses?

You must stop running down to Paul n Paul in the PO and stuffing their grub, when I popped in the other day you looked a tad larger round the middle dear boy. By the way the picture went up a treat!!

Chin up and voice proud my man.

So sad that nobody has been happy in Angmering for whole sad month!!!!!

If this continues we may go down as the most miserable village in the country.

OK then. I'm happy because some expert stonemasons have done a fine job of restoring the buttress on the porch of St Margaret's this week. Great to see good workmanship using traditional methods.

Neil whatever turns you on! Not my thing church and architecture.

I would have been happy if the Welsh had won the rugby today but no such luck. so guess I'm as bad as the rest of the village. So please somebody come up with a real reason for villagers to be happy???

....... and after all those things you have said in support of the church and the reordering, VoR, in these forums! Yea, we all believe you!! Been at the green tea again?

Yes, I have to admit to loving architecture and real craftsmanship. Nothing like a good bit of napped and dressed flint.

VOICE OF REASON here is you reason for being happy - YOUR ALIVE it may have been cold first thing this morning but the smell of fresh dew was in in air, the morning chorus from the beautiful birds in our garden, the kids rushing of to school to annoy the teachers leaving us parents to enjoy our business working day. the smell of fresh coffee stiring your senses, the smile on your partners face as they walk through the door after a hard days work, the excitement from your children as you collect them from school, the feeling of being wanted, loved and appreiciated even if its not showen that often, the warming feeling you get from your cup of horlicks before you wrap yourself into the arms of your loved ones or the warm from your duvet, just generally being alive, and able to do the above day after day breathing, when was the last you told that special some one that you loved them!!!!!!!

Hi everyone. I am so happy to be back in good old Angmering.
Been a long way away for a while, abroad with family I hasten to add, not a guest of her Majesty!
No place like home. Have a lot of catching up to do.
not going to say where I have been, see if you can guess.
only clue is thats its a little unusual, not your usual Australia or New Zealand place.

Have missed dear old Mr.Angry, cant wait to get back into conversations with him. Learnt quite a bit where I have been staying, think I may even be able to hold my own a bit more!!

Gordon Bennet!

I thought you must have gone to 'the other side' IO!!

So glad you haven't - no-one brings out the real me like your good self!

So - anyway - where have you been? 'Not your usual Australia or New Zealand"!!! - Oh yeah - I mean that's just so yesterday isn't it - well, if that's usual for you then I guess you've had an all-inclusive in Bognor (The last resort)

I think you have been in a coma IO and your flight was a spiritual one!

I hope you have not been in a coma of course - so if it's not a real long-haul flight - such as NZ - and you did say a long flight, not a long journey - I'm guessing somewhere accesible only by light aircraft - somewhere with no International airport.

One of the poles?

Or ..... there you are going down dappers lane on your zimmer frame with castors on - it starts to rain so you pop your umbrella open - sudden gust - next thing you know you're in Ohio?

This feels like the early days of Dial Up connections when the only source of relief from boredom was Dial Up Compuserve.

Carry on lads. It's amusing but so, so sad!

Hello Derek,
I am very happy to be sad.

And so we will Del, and so we will - so - when are you going to put a real thigh slapper on the joke page then - or tell us about something funny that happened on the way to work.

As opposed to the usual as above?

Ever had sex in a hammock? (This is not an offer!)

Talk about sex is all you MrA and Del have time to do as you always seem to be posting on these forum pages.

That said I'm doing the same tonight as my girlfriend has gone out to a Ann Summers party to buy a whisk!!?? Could be fun later...so will now pop out for some whipping cream for her buns.

I'm really happy. On Saturday night we had a great night out with several neighbours at a charity Murder Mystery Evening in the Village Hall, although our table was a bit on the noisy side. Of course, nothing to do with me !!!

It now appears that the evening made approx £800 for the Children's Liver Disease Foundation - a fantastic effort. Congratulations to all those who made it such an enjoyable evening. The Hall was packed to capacity - a real fun evening.

Good news there Neil. I am glad it went so well.

I am delighted as I have managed to acquire a genuine antique working carousel for the Christmas night.
That will bring back so many memories.

Following Angmering's successful lottery bid for the skatepark, I thought somebody might have posted a comment on this Happy Page! Perhaps they are waiting for me to create an Ecstatic Page!!!!
