Unfortunately Bert these modern day travellers are not a full time travelling community which is why they are down here during holidays only. I think we all know they will be gone by Monday back to their permanent site even if they relocate down here again before going back. The last group that I spoke to were on the outskirts of London and only "travelled" to make money during the holidays.
If these "travellers" are in fact housedwellers from London then they have no rights under the traveller legislation & should be classed as caravanning holidaymakers subject to the laws of the land.They are also traceable by the authorities who could, f they chose, issue injunctions to prevent them parking their caravans in the area & also follow up the issues of damage,littering or any other offences.
Because WSCC & Angmering School Headmaster felt it unnecessary to take preventative action following the last incursion they have now broken into Mayflower Park as well.
Perhaps Sussex Police can explain at the forthcoming presentation on 12 September why these individuals always get away without any action being taken. That's if Sussex Police can be bothered to turn up to the presentation.

The presentation that I had arranged with the police is something entirely different to the problems that are occurring at the moment, and the police officers that are due to come will not be able to answer the questions that everyone wants to ask as they are from a completely different section of the police.
So, Bram that is your answer. It is confusing having 2 threads running on this subject!
