Just a quick question, since the letter came through doors in Bramley Green about possible parking tickets for dangerous/inconsiderate parking, I have only noticed one car booked. For the last two days I have had a large van parked directly opposite my drive making it difficult to get on/off it. Sadly I must have discarded the letter, but does anyone know who to complain to?
The letter simply hasn't done a thing to stop the poor parking |

erm... what letter? as a bg resident it would be nice if whoever is responsible would be so kind as to display the letter publicly for all residents to see, since they have not gone to the effort of putting one through my door, i am sure others also have no idea what this is about |

I wonder if it was only put through the houses that are on Nursery Rd, Bramley Way and Rowan Way as these roads are the ones which will have the new traffic calming humps built. These 3 roads will also have a limited amount of Yellow lines at pinch points.I think that WSCC have put up yellow notices at certain places where the new humps will be.I live in Nursery rd and we had a letter and I logged on to a link to Arun Coucil where the planning application has been made. I guess though with restricted parking on these 3 roads the side roads will have more cars on them.Yes, I know thre is meant to be no parking on the streets but this will not happen!! As I have said in another posting, children are getting older in Bramley Green and extra cars are at some households. Also older adult children move back and they bring cars.I happily park in a bay away from our house , but there are not many of these and most residents will not do this. |

Was it the flyer posted by Andrea Oakley recently asking for co-operation in dealing with the inconsiderate parking on BG ? It didn't really threaten prosecution or ticketing & since the issue of road adoption still remains unresolved is unlikely to result in action by Sussex police just yet. |

even an unadopted road still legally constitutes a highway if it is used as such, so people probably could be ticketed if it came to it...

Not sure , but thought the letter came from the council and I think once the new traffic calming measures are in place, plus the yellow lines this means the roads will be then be adopted.

I don't live in any of the roads mentioned. I am sure the letter mentioned vehicles would receive a parking ticket. I wish I hadn't have thrown it away now!! I assumed all households on the estate would have received one.
One vehicle next door to me which was partly parked on the pavement did actually receive a parking ticket recently. |
