I have recently moved to Bramley Green and can't belive the speed people drive in a 20mph zone.
I have witnessed people with kids in the car charging past the park which is just amazing.
I am going to arrange for a Speed Indicator Device (Gadget that shows your speed with either a happy or a sad face) to be placed on the estate for a day, and am hoping to have Neil Billingham at the roadside to make more of an impact.
Any thoughts/advice or people wiling to help will be appreciated. Thank you
I agree with skippy2107.The standard of driving & parking on BG is appalling. However until the roads are adopted I doubt whether any anti-speeding measures will be enforceable & the police are unlikely to devote any resources towards it but good luck with your plan because sooner or later a serious incident will occur.
I live in Nursery Road and when there are no cars parked everybody drives even faster.I hate to imagine how fast everyone would go if the roads were always clear. We are not living on Ham Manor or a private estate and if people want no parking on roads in BG then obviously we will have to pay high charges to be a private estate.
I don't think they would drive faster. I have tonight, seen a car accelerate towards the first traffic calming zone from the east, as the was a car coming the other way. The problem is there's no gaps left for people to pull in to. It's a 100 meter single lane. We need people to use their garages or parking bays at the back of their houses. Otherwise the builders should have built more houses on these wasted spaces.
