That would be great if it is true ! If they did deli items as well would be even better . Used to live in a place about same size as Angmering and it has a butchers with deli section and . It does really well.

Try refreshing the News page, Stirer. The old page is almost certainly being cached on your PC. If problem still exists, delete recent browsing history.

There used to be a butcher's in the Village some 15-20 years ago I believe. Were they from Findon?

I wonder what the chances are of getting a piece of beef like that cooked by John Torode last night.ie with yellowish fat as opposed to white fat and nicely marbled

I've just walked past on the way back from the co-op and the sign in the window, says it opens Tuesday.

Very, very nice and friendly couple. Bought selection of meat and had the sausages this morning they were delicious! Another friend has tried the bacon and said it was excellent. I am now not going to buy any meat in a supermarket for a while to support the new butchers shop. Give it a try anyone who reads this as prices are competitive and quality is good .

Bought a large rib of beef from the local butcher for New Years Day family dinner. It has to be the best beef we have tasted in ages. The joint was rather too large for our needs, asked for a joint for 10 people and they supplied an 8lb/4kg joint of which we used less than half. But the flavour was fantastic. Also took some sausage meat and that also had lots of flavour for the sausage rolls. We will vote with our feet and use them when we need meat. Great addition to the village.

I think that the new butchers is one of the best additions to the village in recent years. I have not heard a single bad word about it - indeed, everyone I have spoken to has been full of praise for Meat in The Square.

Every item we have bought has been excellent. Love the home-made sausages. Had some delicious pork and garlic ones a few days' ago; however, my favourite ones are the Cumberland.

It's wonderful! Ordered a boned and rolled loin of pork for boxing day expecting it to be already boned and rolled to go. Instead, Dave boned and rolled it in front of me & asked me if I wanted the bone, I asked what would I do with it and he gave some suggestions which I asked Google to elaborate on and ended up making the bestest ever gravy and a load of stock left over to make more with.

Has anyone noticed the reduced shelves in the co-op, towards the back of the shop. Big reduced stickers on the stuff but mostly only reduced by 1p or 2p?
Seems a bit strange and has been puzzling me.
Anyone else sad enough to puzzle about this as well?

I too was not only sad enough to puzzle about, but asked one of the staff there. Apparently its lines they are discontinuing but head office will not let them sell them cheap!
