Ours was off for 8 hours. I understand it was an underground cable fault. If it happens again you can text Power (followed by your postcode) to 80876 and they will keep you updated by text between 7am and 10pm. They replied to me immediately and then updated at 21.29 and again at 7am to tell me the power was back. Quite a useful service.
Another power cut in Mill Rd overnight must have been at least 4 hours. Still a humming generator in the road, there was us thinking it might have been removed!
derekdainton...that 'phone number for memsgen, is I suspect, the company who owns and hires out the generator. I doubt very much that they have any information about the specifics of its current use.
Tried all these options, finally I did get through to UK Power Networks 0800 7838866 who might have been mentioned in a previous post. They hope the generator will be removed today - we shall see!
