Dear Derek. The position of Chairman of the Parish Council is a post for only one year. At each May meeting the council is required to nominate and vote for who they wish to be their Chair for the coming year. Therefore to answer your query as to the reason for the change it was that a majority of the Council decided that I was the best candidate for Chairman for the coming twelve months.
In respect of what the new Chair brings to the role may I invite you to attend the Annual Parish meeting on Monday 18th June at the Village Hall at 7pm. |
