It amazes me that someone thinks that this is an acceptable and safe place to park their car. I have my fingers crossed that something big and heavy will plough into it soon ;)
DVLA website. Sections of road with a single white line on the road surface adjacent to the kerb are known as clearways. A clearway means no parking or waiting. A vehicle may only be there in an emergency. Failure can result in a fine and/or points on your license.
Pop down the village - there'll pretty much always be cars parked on single and double yellows or in 1 hr restricted bays all day - so if you manage to get the old Bill out to this one ask them to sort out this end too please :-)
