Without any advance notification to its customers, Regency Patisserie closed both its shops in Rustington and Angmering this afternoon (Saturday). No notice of the closures had been posted in the windows of the shops and no notices were posted when they shut for the last time. Staff were not informed until Wednesday this week that the bakery was to close.

No doubt there will now be speculation who will take over this tiny shop in Angmering.

It would make sense for Meat in the Square to knock through. Better for a successful business to expand that a 'start up'. Space probably not really viable for most

Yes, but probably not financially viable for MITS to take on another lease without offering additional services

Dave and Sophie from MITS took over the lease about a month ago and the old patisserie is currently being converted into a joint bakers and greengrocers. An arch will shortly be knocked through into MITS.

Quite a bit of work needs to be done to the shop and Dave and Sophie are hopeful that the new shop may be open in the back half of June.
