Hi Rosebud, It's worth reporting the pothole either to Arun direct or the following: http://www.fixmystreet.com/ It's good for faulty streetlights and other local problems as well. It always seems to work!
The most simple method of reporting such matters as unlit lamp posts and potholes, is from the direct link from the Angmering Parish Council website, which has a link from this website, on the news page.
For those with Smartphones there is an App - Love West Sussex, which enables you to take photo of offending pothole and send it to the appropriate department.
Took photo at 12.30 today and received confirmation that action had been approved 20 mins later.

I am not having this app. Soon I will get this one. Potholes was the major issue in this area it really great that it has been solved. We are very thankful.
