Given the concern felt by an overwhelming proportion of villagers over possible housing developments, and the cynicism that prevails over the refusal of APC to provide a view on their desirability, is it not important that transparency prevails? Private meetings held with developers are presumably minuted so why are these minutes not being made available? Why the apparent secrecy and for whose benefit?

As detailed at Mondays Parish Council meeting and recorded in the minutes which should appear early next week the meeting requested by Barratts was on the basis that no details would be released until after Barratts planning application had been submitted. Equally if any developer makes such a condition the Parish Council are left with the option to hold the meeting with this condition or not hold the meeting at all. The Parish Council took the decision that it was better to know the intentions so that we can investigate any relevant matters so we are better informed before the application is made but we would not be holding any discussions as to the merits of the application. The Parish Council are committed to the principles and details of our Parishes neighbourhood plan and will fully support the outcome of this process
