Is the APC aware that it is intended to build a windfarm of 600+ windmills 10 miles offshore between Beachy Head and Bognor Regis??

This will of course be visible from "The Shore"

Have APC had any input on behalf of the Parishoners on this potential blot on the seascape??

I am of course aware that the APC area remit does not take in "The Shore Line" however many Parishoners no doubt are visitors to the shore.

The parish council were advised in late 2010 that E.ON Climate & Renewables UK, trading under the name Rampion Offshore Wind Limited, had been awarded the exclusive right by the Crown Estate to seek consent to build a large offshore wind farm off the Sussex coast. At that time Rampion had produced a Scoping Report – which can be viewed at www.eon-uk.com/rampion - which set out how they intended to undertake the Environmental Impact Assessment required by regulation. The Scoping Report at that time did not provide any detailed information about project design and proposed layout.

The Scoping Report was reviewed by the APC Planning Committee in November 2010. Although the proposals do not directly impact the territory of Angmering, we wrote raising a concern about the potential impact on the capacity of hospital & medical facilities and other emergency services within West Sussex to continue to serve the community of Angmering in the potential event of a major emergency/accident in the area of the proposed wind farm. That concern was acknowledged by Rampion.

APC has been informed by Rampion that they will update us on the project shortly before they launch their formal public consultation scheduled for early 2012. APC will of course be responding to that consultation and we would welcome input from our local community.
