I reported on the AVL News page on 19 October that the new post box on the corner of the High Street and Roundstone Lane had now been built.
Walking past it today, I see that the box is sealed to prevent anyone posting a letter.
According to their last minutes, I know that APC want to post the first letter for a bit of PR, but hopefully they are not delaying it coming on stream on account of that. Could it be the Post Office are delaying things? Perhaps they need to alter their collection schedules and pay their postmen an increase for the extra collection! 
Notwithstanding that, I do like the new box. |
