I would like to thank Neil for his comprehensive News item in respect of Mr Leslie Baker.
I did not know this man, (I have lived in Angmering for just 6 years) but I always think it is very sad when someone has worked tirelessly in and for a village or town for many years, as Mr Baker has done, and their passing can go unnoticed. Particularly if they move away as in this case, and die elsewhere.
I found the item very interesting and I am sure many generations have good reason to thank Leslie for the public service he has provided for others.
I am sure there will be items in local newspapers, but I do not see them, so thankyou Neil for the information on this website. |
