Sadly my last two visits to the "Big" Fry have resulted in anything but big portions. Tiny portion of chips and miniature fish seemed to be the order of the day. Not good enough for around a fiver, especially as the Harvester in Littlehampton now offer their early bird menu all day - including fish & chips and unlimted salad bar visits for £5.49.
My next visit to the BF will be third time lucky, or my last.

I'm sad to say I completely agree. We had a very small 'large' portion of chips recently, and not for the first time. A large portion normally does the 2 of us fine. We will be going to Rustington for our chippy in the future. Such a shame. |

Best chippy in the area is Micks Fish & Chip Shops 7 Sea La, Rustington. Excellent food & good value for money.

Have the complainers actually talked to Big Fry about the situation? It's always best to take that course of action. However, we're British (well most of us are!) and we don't like doing this. Unfortunately, I rarely follow my own advice! I also tend not to go back to a restaurant if I've had a bad meal or poor service.
I periodically get fish and chips from BF, but not in recent weeks, but when I have done so the fish has always been good with decent sized portions. The chips have also been reasonable for the last few occasions when I've had them. |

Agree with BRAM - lovely chippy from Micks!
We were very tempted to take our small portion of chips back, but unfortunately so hungry and in a hurry we just ate them! It is a shame because as you say Neil, the fish has always been nice from there and we always try to support the local shops. Perhaps we will let them know we weren't happy, but as you say, we don't like to make a fuss! |
