Just wondering if there is a group or anything setup to help the people in the village who have been affected by the flooding? Surprised there is nothing on here atall! I do feel that those of us on higher ground should pitch in and see what we can do to help folks living in the lower lying parts of the village. I drove back into the village at 3am this morning and Water Lane was a fast running river. If anyone knows of any community organised help effort, please post here. I will check down in the village in the morning anyway.
Although by now the worst may be over in terms of clearing up, it's probably down to individuals to offer assistance. Doesn't seem as if the natural body - APC, is acting as collecting point for such offers, so perhaps, Neil, you could pass on my contact details to anyone requiring clear-up help.
Puts into perspective those griping about grass cutting!
Would also be very happy to help anyone that needs help clearing up, have old car that is good for trips to the dump! Well , just any help that I can give really .
