Why are the lights still on at 10.45pm at the skate bowl when these lights have been checked by an electrician today, I understand that the lights should be swithed off at 8pm or is there some other reason why these lights are still on?

No answer to that one at the moment Popcorn.
As you are probably aware, the box was tampered with when the travellers were there, but was under the impression it had been fixed after they had left.

Can only presume the time switch may now be faulty,or has not been reset properly, so will get someone to go and have a look at it asap.
Bearing in mind it is now Friday night, probably wont be able to get anyone until Monday. Hopefully the lights are not annoying anyone too much so that will be ok.
If they are a problem, please let me know and I will try to get them checked quicker.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

The answer has to be 'Because it's dark'! .... and not all that long after dusk either'! But .......

Switched off at 8 pm? What are they doing on at that time of day at this time of the year and how long would they have been on for while it's still broad daylight?

How about a dual timer - light sensitive for on and timed (say 10:30 pm) for off?

Skate bowl lighting was still on at 1 o'clock this morning. If these lights are left on until the early hours, surely the parish have funds to contribute to some path lighting, where everyone would benefit.

A couple of years ago APC were going to consider path lighting at the southern end of BG, but it seems to have slipped off the agenda.

Sorry Popcorn

Seems to be a problem with the time switch

It should be fixed now. Please let me know if they come back on tonight, which they shouldn't do.

Lighting on once again during the night at the skate bowl, can it please be put back onto its original time of 8pm, as this stopped people gathering. Last night youths were still there and passing our doors shouting at 1am. The lights are still on now!

Surely the people (youths) will still gather whether or not the lights are turned off at 8pm? (as asked before, why are they not on a dual timer? Its still light then

Hi Popcorn

Thanks for letting us know again.
the ligthts had actually been turned off while we waited for new locks to be fitted, but it would appear that the box has been tampered with again.
New locks will be placed in next couple of days and time switch re-set.
Karl@KCM - yes these lights are on a time switch and also a light sensor so that - in theory- they do not need adjusting in the summer.
Hopefully will all be back to normal very soon.
