A great deal of credit must go to Claire and other administrative staff at the Parish Council office for their tremendous effort in getting two additional names from WW1 added to Angmering's war memorial. The names were added to the memorial today.

They have had considerable problems with the War Memorials Trust (WMT) in trying to get a grant for the work, and have also had to liaise closely with Arun District Council (getting planning permission) and the stonemasons. The process has taken more than 6 months.

Having had initial dealings with the WMT myself, I recognise the frustrations of APC having to deal with such an inefficient and frustrating organisation constantly losing paperwork / communications and then demanding more and more information. Anyway, well done APC.
